For the Studio Recording Musician

You guys are different animals. I know... I’ve spent some time in recording studios myself. And I know what you’re looking for - “The Clarita Negra”. A design concept in which, for the first time ever, the sound hole has been moved OFF the soundboard entirely. I arrived at this concept after countless hours of studying and experimenting with acoustical flaws in traditional guitar design.
The braces are tuned to pitch, the frets are a non-metallic composite so there is no noise of the string touching the fret, and subsequently the life of the string is longer. The main focus of the design is sustain and balance between notes all across the fingerboard.
The neck is made of lightly polished black ebony so that your thumb doesn’t stick as it does with varnish. The tuning system is invented by Buzz Feiten, which means that each note is almost at the 00 cent. There are many more features - way too numerous to mention here.

Suffice it to say that this guitar has been in the conceptual stages for years and the production stages for even more years. Originally it was only available in a nylon string version, but it is now available in a steel string version, and it as well is equally amazing.

Being An Apprentice?

Unlike most builders, I don’t believe in keeping lutherie secrets. I think knowledge should be shared, for the advancement of the guitar. For this reason, I take on apprentices/students who want to learn to build guitars.
Its free. But it is hard work and there is no requirement except that the student must know how to play the guitar, have a good personality, and an open mind. I give machinists special consideration.
